Happy Sunday, subscribers!
Forgive me for once again being delayed in announcing this week’s episode of The Nathan Jacobs Podcast. It did drop on schedule (Thursday), but alas, I forgot to notify you faithful subscribers. Mea culpa.
This week on the podcast we did something a little unusual. A number of episodes back, I offered commentary on Tucker Carlson’s interview with Russian philosopher Alexander Dugin. I suspect that many may have skipped that episode because of its length, or indifference about Carlson/Dugin. But my thoughts in that episode are an excellent companion to Episode 1: The Most Important Question. So I decided to edit it down as a companion piece. In this truncated version, I comment on the philosophy of nominalism, the subsequent interest in the individual, and how these trends evolve into the philosophies we see around us today. See below for the links.
Be watching later today for the next installment of my Leibniz book (also today). In the meantime, you can read last week’s installment here.
